Vegan Food In Liverpool One

Once you get into the swing of cooking vegan food, going plant based is relatively easy. The only time I ever struggle with my meat and diary free diet is when I am out and about and want to grab something quick and tasty on the run.
Discovering restaurants that also have vegan options on the menu is an absolute godsend and I'm always keen to share the vegan love.
Liverpool One is one of my favourite places for a spot of retail therapy and its surprisingly vegan friendly-you just need to know where to go.

Here is my guide to my top five restaurants in Liverpool one who make going diary free, carefree.

Yo-Sushi
Probably my favourite place to eat when I'm at Liverpool One. Yo-Sushi has some really tasty offerings for vegans with at least ten items on the menu.

They will also prepare you vegetarian options as vegan if you ask. Tofu Katzu Curry with Rice and Pumpkin Katzu are always a hit. In fact the Katzu curry has been voted the best vegan curry by PETA and I think its definitely a contender.

Pizza Express
Baba at Pizza Express
Pizza Express are absolutely great for Vegans and the branch at Liverpool One is no exception.  Pizza Express bases are completely free of animal and dairy products and the Pianta introduced in spring 2014 is the chains first ever dairy free, vegan friendly pizza.

It combines spinach, chestnut mushrooms, pine kernels and artichokes, on a spicy arrabbiata base and is really good. Baba always has her usual marinara with olives which was also yummy. They have also recently introduced a vegan cheese option-bravo!

Las Iguanas Liverpool ONE serves up a mouth-watering menu of South American dishes cooked fresh to order. Its my bestie Leannes fave so Ive eaten there a few times and whilst the vegan offer isn't massive, what they do offer is very tasty. I always choose Fiesta Ensalda which is roasted butternut squash, mixed leaves, carrot, cucumber, pink pickled onions, oven-dried tomatoes & fresh avocado, tossed in a poppy seed dressing. Topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, charred corn & roquito peppersDelicious. The restaurant also offers some absolutely amazing cocktails and lots of happy hour style offers so perfect for drinks and a bite with friends after work.

Sometimes when you are shopping at Liverpool One you really just want to grab a quick bite and for this I highly recommend Eat. Eat offers a great selection of sandwiches, soups, salads and wraps and recently have added a few great vegan options to their menu. Our fave is the Thai butternut squash soup and the new coronation cauliflower sandwich. Eat is also super affordable so a great place to visit if you are a vegan on a budget.Downstairs next to the Pandora store this is a regular stop off for us when we are out shopping.

Nandos

Now you would think there would be no way I could include Nando's in this guide but its actually quite easy to eat vegan at Nando's if you know what to order. I love the houmous with peri-peri drizzle as a starter, and for my main the Veggie burger, wrap, or pitta (just ask them to hold the mayo or yoghurt ) or the Portobello mushroom burger. Based on the upper floor of Liverpool One this is always busy so a popular choice.

As you can see Liverpool One has lots of choice for the hungry vegan shopper. From Sushi to Mexican, sandwiches to pizza. All under one roof which leaves more time for shopping (did I mention there is a new Urban Decay store there)
