Isn't it great when you acquire a new piece for your wardrobe that is vaguely nostalgic but also brings your look bang up to date. Even better when you get it for free because your husband designed it.
Which was the situation I have recently found myself in with this lovely blue and white sailor inspired Mermaid Tee by Nicky Rockets
I've always had a soft spot for blue and white Breton style tops, its the whole sailor/Gautier connection and in this lovely little number I feel like I should be in an 1980s pop band like Bananrama or singing backing vocals for the Style Council. Its awesome.
I'm also showing off my recently customised white denim jacket which I brought last year from Yours Clothing. I was a bit bored of it so asked Nicky to do his thang and I am back in love. I may even customise it further with some pin badges or embroidery.
I teamed my tee and upcycled jacket with my beloved denim skirt, leggings and my Hi-top trainers. I've also stolen Nickys Elvis sunnies because why not.
Here is Mr Rockets also looking quite dapper in his tee as well.
