I love Tartan, there is something both dramatic and vibrant about it and yet it also has a slight camp factor (maybe because I associate it with things like the Bay City Rollers and the wombles)
Tartan also has a bit of a punk rock vibe, Vivienne Westwood used to make bondage trousers in Tartan for the sex pistols so with the right styling it can feel edgy as well.Edgy and camp-always a good combo.

Today I'm indulging my love of checks with a red and black tartan wrap with detachable fur collar by Yours clothing.Yours seems to get Autumn fashion spot on and yet again this is an absolute beaut.

The warp is fairly light and soft so doesn't feel bulky and encourages lots of dramatic highland inspired sweeping over the shoulder (and any clothes that encourage dramatic mime are winners in my book) It has a detachable black faux fur collar which takes it from picnic blanket to luxury in one clever fashion move. Its also fringed which allows some boho styling if that's how you want to play it-I didn't, instead I went to an all black outfit to allow the bright red to really pop.
I wore this outfit on a weekend away with my beautiful blogger/vlogger freinds Em, Charl, Khila, Naomi and Kim
