House of Fraser Plus size range |
I was asked recently if I would like to review something from their plus size range and was pleasantly surprised at the choice available, the variety of labels and also their great sale which is where today's outfit came from.
I've had my eye on this Evans Plus size smoke print batwing dress for ages. I even featured it on one of my wishlists earlier this year so when I saw it available for £30 it seemed fat fashion destiny was calling.
is it a dress? is it a tunic? I don't care, its just good. |
I love the cut of this dress although before I go any further I feel I must make absolutely clear that this is not a dress as such , its a long top.
You guys know I'm not the tallest of women and it hits just past my mid thigh so on anyone over five foot three it would be a stylish tunic.
Now we have cleared that up lets take a moment to enjoy the cheeky slits in the arms (which allow my tattoos to peek out) the asymmetric hem which I love (I always feel vaguely Rachel from Bladerunner in anything with a jaunty hem) and of course the star of the show the smoke print.
Love the arm detail and the asymmetric hem |
The grey wavy lines are really delicate and almost futuristic-fat sexy robot chic (don't worry Trolls the robot leggings wont make an appearance today but next time...) This is such a nice way to wear the monochrome trend and light enough with the grey shades that I don't feel too wintery.
I'm wearing a pair of leggings from Evans, my Nike glitter Hi-Tops and because I love yellow with black and white my yellow satchel
Size wise this is a good fit, it is slightly fitted so if you prefer a baggier look maybe size up but this is the size 20 and gave a nice shape without clinging to my middle for dear life.
