A Rose Like This Fashion Show

My friend and fellow plus size blogger Rosie Astbury from the blog A Rose Like This  recently had her end of year fashion show at Mid Cheshire Collage and I was very honored to be asked to model for her.

I joined some of her other friends Amy, Heather, Megan, Jolie  and Rachel and we had such a lovely evening doing our hair and make up, playing with our props (bags made of records, beach balls and wurlygigs) and chatting.

This collection was all made of vintage fabrics and had an old fashioned seaside  feel. I felt like one of the fat ladies from a Beryl cook postcard which was rather cute indeed.My outfit was a patchwork style swim dress and Rosie had us all wear ankle socks and sparkly jelly shoes.It was vaguely Japanese Harajuku and wonderfully kitsch.

My blog has opened up so many lovely opportunities and I have met so many wonderful people and Rosie is definitely one of my favorites. I have loved seeing her work as a fashion designer develop and am so excited for what the future holds for her.
