Earlier this week I shared the excitement of taking my own brand Nicky Rockets to Curvy Convention-you can read that post here Not only was I lucky enough to meet so many inspiring plus size women at the event I also had possibly one of the best seats in the house for all the plus size collections which were on the catwalk. Here are my picks of the day.
Simply be
Simply be are having an amazing season so their show was really strong. A lot of boho/1970's inspired outfits which I adore. Fresh, summery and gorgeous.

Topsy Curvy
I really love this brand. A small but mighty independent their clothes are stylish, sassy and super affordable. I was particularly loving the floral two pieces , check trousers and the chanel homage tees
I was lucky enough to be on the stand next to the Topsy Curvy girls and just love them. Their energy, love of fashion and customer service are just brilliant.
hanging with Team Topsy Curvy-I will be reviewing this pink bow dress soon. watch this space. |
Gemma Collins
The Gemma Collins show was as you would expect, vibrant, pretty and super feminine. Bright flowers, lots of body con and a few really gorgeous maxi dresses.I particularly loved the Jamacia Maxi dress and the floral peplum top and skirt
I was actually wearing the black Hollywood top from her Evans range which still always gets lots of compliments.

Figure of eight
Sadly I didn't get any photos of the Figure of eight collection but did fall head over heels for the dress Lisa Riley wore to introduce the brand. Lisa revealed that she will be bringing out her own collection called "Just be you" with Figure of eight before Christmas which will include this frock which also has a matching bomber jacket-hell yes.
How good is this dress
Lisa seems genuinely excited about this collection and even let me try on the sequined dress-well whats a girl to do. I won't lie I didn't want to hand it back.

How beautiful is this |
The Asos Curve swimwear show was just adorable. Quite vintage, beautifully cut and so sexy.
I particularly loved the high waisted bikini with contrast detail and the pour moi siren black mesh swimsuit just fabulous.
Voodoo Vixen
As a lover of all thing vintage inspired I of course adored Voodoo Vixen. My faves on the day were the tropical print dress and the Polka dot floral. Both of which I think would work beautifully for spring afternoons out.
Sadly I missed some of the other brand shows as there was so much more, hopefully if you weren't there you will have seen the other collections covered on social media.
Huge thanks to Lolly from Lollylikesfatshion who let me use lots of her event pictures-she is a queen with an amazing blog.
