Black Sequin Skull Vest by Yours Clothing Outfit Review

When I was little my mum would often recount how her friends dad once told her "you will make a beautiful skull" he was referring to her high cheekbones and we always thought it was the best and darkest compliment we had ever heard.
I mention this as I was wondering where my love of skull imagery comes from. I have black skull wallpaper in my lounge and pink butterfly skulls decorating my bedroom. Far from finding these depressing or evil I find them oddly life affirming.
Which brings me to today's outfit.

I'm calling this look "I was divorced by a rolling stone" as it makes me think of the type of outfit Jo Wood or Anita Pallenberg would wear for cocktails.

The Black Sequin skull vest £26 is by Yours Clothing and I loved it as soon as I clapped my peepers on it. It is quite rock n roll but also as its quite long with a dipped hem very wearable.

I have popped it on with my Kim pencil skirt £49 by The Curve and a cardigan from Tesco which is past season.This is a great way to wear a tee if you don't like jeans (which I really don't) or need to look slightly smarter but want to incorporate a little vagabond spirit.

My red bag with gold skull detail is a McQueen homage which was a gift from my mum (her of the beautiful skull) As I'm serving rock chick realness I have tousled my hair and applied a lot of black eyeliner.

I adore the juxtaposition of soft chiffon and sparkly sequins with a big old skull head and my tight plether skirt. It's making me feel totally bad ass.
