Monroe knows: and so does Audrey

I am as easily wooed as the next girl by pretty packaging. So when my parcel by new plus size brand Monroe Knows arrived I was quite giddy at the beautiful box it came in in.

It makes such a difference when brands take care over their parcels and this one was just brimming with loveliness. 

The dress was wrapped in tissue paper and and I even received  a chocolate truffle (also in a diddy box)

More importantly though what is the dress like? 
Well its absolutely beautiful. When I was first approached by the brand I chose the gorgeous Chloe in black  frock £49 (sizes 18-26)
Its a classic LBD. Sweetheart neckline, 3/4 sleeves and semi fitted with a gently flared skirt. A dress you will wear again and again.

I decided that such a classic outfit called for Audrey Hepburn inspired styling.
Hepburn is famously  quoted as saying " Sometimes, a simple dress is all you need. You can let your natural features steal the attention" and who am I to argue.

so I piled my hair up and accessorised with my Glamour necklace by Bete Noire. This frock is all about the decolletage, saucy without being slutty, sexy but understated. I like it a lot.
My clutch is by Yours but doesn't look to be in stock any more.

Plus size glamour

Sizing wise this was spot on and felt very comfortable. it also felt very well made which is always a welcome relief from the acres of badly sewn polyester that passes as plus size clothing nowadays.

Beautifully made

This look isn't going to set any records for being edgy but for understated glamour its gorgeous.I wore it out on Saturday and felt gorgeous.
