Whatcha talkin bout Wallis?

It’s been a while since I have brought anything from Wallis and I’m not sure why.
I used to go there quite often back in the day as they were always the go to place for 1940’s inspired tea dresses and pretty cardigans and always went up to my size (18/20)
I have always loved their use of pattern and they definitely always seem to offer quality but I guess I also associate the collections with a maturity that doesn't always sit well in my more whimsical wardrobe.
This week though  I have been taken back into the brands cuddly embrace as they have launched a plus size range. Featuring sizes 16-24 it’s a small but mighty collection of classic pieces which will definitely help you put together some  rather classy looks this autumn.I am disappointed the size range isn't better but here is hoping they offer more sizes soon.
My outfit today features these Ponte Trousers £36 which I liked immediately as they are very like a cigarette pant  (I blame Stella McCartney for my obsession with finding the perfect cigarette pant) and knew I would get tons of wear out of.
How the Ponte pants look on the website

I gave up smoking years ago but still love a cigarette pant

Like the skinny jeans slightly posher sister the cigarette pant is crying out for heals and a clutch bag. Tough luck sweetie as I'm off out to accompany my daughters swimming trip so heals are a nono. The sizing on these is true but isn’t generous so if you are between sizes I would size up. They are quite long in the leg though which is a bonus.

The two piece print top £40 features a bold graphic magenta and black Lilly print with a chiffon piece to wear over. I adore layering and this is such a clever way to do it. My only criticism is that the black chiffon top sits right on my VBO.
This doesn’t bother me massively but I know for a lot of my readers this is their Waterloo, they do not want this emphasised so something for the designers to keep in mind. This is true to size and because of the stretchy material quite generous.
Peeling on the layers

Probably my favourite piece though is this stone snake skin print jacket £60 It’s as light as a feather and looks to be a hybrid of a kimono and a tux.
Is it a jacket? Or is it a kimono-I'm not sure but I like it.
I love it. It’s especially perfect if you are struggling with the changeable weather at the moment, layering for warmth and then finding you re sweltering when the October sun burst through.

Trust in me

I’ve teamed this outfit with a necklace by Simply be (which isn't in stock any more by the looks of it)  my animal  leopard print pumps £12 by Yours and a bag from a shop called Boutique in Birkenhead.
I realised once I was dressed that I am actually matching Mister Truffles the Pug perfectly. Well he is the perfect accessory.

My Pug matches my outfit-perfect!
