This dress has been featured on the blog before and for that I make no apologies. To me fashion is about two things, the rush of the new and the comfort of the classic.This dress is a real signature piece for me and  boy do I trust this frock to make me feel lovely.

Its the Penelope Poppy Dress by Simply be which only seems to be available in a size 16 now (well it is two seasons old) but if you hunt on ebay you will possibly find it or something very similar.One of the joys of discovering your own personal style is that you make fewer fashion mistakes and so your wardrobe works really hard for you. This dress has been worn again and again with no sign of flagging.

Some frocks should be worn again and again

The mornings are dark now and when I got up this morning at 6am I needed something bright and vibrant to carry me through and there was this dress. Winking from my dress rail, reminding me it was high time I took it out for another spin.

Weirdly I always think of the Wizard of oz when I put it on. Lying in a field of poppies, stoned on witches potion with my eccentric friends.

It was time for another outing

I have put a bandanna head bow in as this get up  is unashamedly fifties and needs hair pretties to match.

Mister Truffles has had  a tough week as he has been neutered and had a small procedure on his nose so here I am lavishing him with love. Poor Mister Truffles.
