Wicked |
Occasionally an email hits my inbox (ooh matron) that makes me do a little dance. Like this.
One such message was when the lovely Mindi from online boutique Little Wickeds Emporium got in touch to tell me that she was launching a range of made to measure plus size separates in all manner of amazing fabrics and designs. She asked would I like to model for it (meaning I got every piece made to my measurements) Joy to the world!
If like me your body often struggles to fit into standard sizing (I am all over the shop, big boobs, tiny sloping shoulders, big tummy, slimmish legs) then made to measure is an absolute dream.

Plus size perfection-made to measure |
Little Wickeds Emporium make choosing your design so easy. You can pick from a variety of necklines and sleeve types in tops, and for skirts opt for a pencil or circle style.
Here are my favourite looks from the photo shoot.
The Pamela Peplum top in the mermaid fabric with matching Lana pencil skirt. How utterly lush is this fabric.

Come and crash against my big fat rocks |
And here is the same look but with a gingham Lana skirt and purple Pamela top. This feels like something Joan would wear in Madmen-its just adorable.
Purple plussie |
I also loved the Pamela top with elasticated peasant sleeves with a matching Lucille swing skirt in bright blue polka dot.
Its so wonderful to see made to measure plus size clothes being offered in alternative fabrics and unusual colourways. The fact that you can order them online just like any other purchase is wonderful.
