Simply Be Liverpool Store Visit

Last week I was invited by Simply Be to take a look at their latest range, spend some time with an instore stylist and put some looks together.
If you are familiar with Simply bes store layout the Liverpool branch holds few surprises. Light and airy, beautiful changing rooms and lots and lots of fab plus size clothes.

I have visited The Liverpool store before and it always has a slightly more mature feel to it than the Manchester one. The clothes on the displays are generally from the more simple or conservative lines which is a shame as rifle through the rails and there are just so many fabulous items crying out to be showcased.

I was looked after by a lovely lady called Cathy. Now as I know my own style quite well I did pick all my own clothes but Cathy was fab at suggesting shoes and bags and it was great to see her with some other customers in the changing rooms. If you are looking for a friendly welcoming place to get your plus size shopping from then this is a good store people. Now for the clothes:

I kicked off with this beautiful Pink lazercut dress by AX Paris £45

I absolutely love AX paris stuff but for the love of all things fatty what's up with the sizing? I had to size up for this to fit around the boobs which is no problem if you are in store but a pain when you are online shopping. Slight sizing niggles aside I really loved the colour and shape of this.

How gorgeous is this frock!

Ax Paris Rose print Maxi dress £45
I tend to avoid Maxi dresses like the plague and a strapless one-forget about it. However I was lured by the print and in the spirit of trying new things thought I would give it a go. Its not for me but if you are a slightly taller plussie this is absolutely gorgeous, sadly just not on me.

Beautiful dress but I felt it swamped my tiny frame  a bit

Undeterred I tried on a skater dress in a similar fabric Much more me. The black background made this feel slightly wintry at the moment but still rather lovely.

Neon 2 in 1 dress £38

This was my favourite item of the day (it came home with me so look out for a full outfit post) Its a black dress with a neon top attached and it looks absolutely cracking on. I love the ravey touch of the neon and the slinkyness of the tube dress. Perfection.

This dear reader came home with me

This was my second favourite frock of the day. I felt totally Audrey Hepburn in it. It is a tad on the short side so leggings or tights required but the peter pan collar and shape are adorable. I teamed it with one of Simply be's tote bags and it looked awesome.

This cardigan caught my eye straight away. Its got a real boho feel to it and looks so versatile. I paired it with a plain black dress but imagine it would look great with jeans and  a tee too.I loved the gold stud gladiator sandles and matching bag too.

Pink Brocade Skater Dress

I grabbed this from the sale rail. I think it was £25 but I can't remember and I can't find it online either, sorry. Its worth pointing out that the Simply be sale rail was amazing.

I saw this on the sale rail and immediately wanted to try it. Aside from the galaxy dress from this range it was the maxi dress that caught my eye. I felt rather glorious in this in a hippy/Stevie Nicks fashion. Its worth noting that its a tad snug on the boobs so if you are gifted in the chest department you might want to size up.

So there you have it my morning of trying on lots of beautiful clothes at Liverpool's Simply Be store. If you book a stylist appointment you get £10 off when you spend £50 so its well worth doing and they are so welcoming and helpful.
