Whilst I absolutely love wearing clothes full of sparkle and shimmer at this time of year I also like to have a couple of outfits that are slightly more edgy and fashion forward especially when planning what to wear on New Years Eve.

This tartan and animal print zip detail dress by Yours clothing fits the bill beautifully.

I’m loving the current trend for mixing tartan and animal print which are two of my all time favourite designs and the cherry red colour of this dress means its without doubt a showstopper. The zip detail on the shoulders gives it a punky sensibility which I adore.

Classic Bodycon shape but slightly more forgiving cut

It’s a classic body con shape but as I find so often with Yours clothing the cut is incredibly forgiving. Its isn't clinging to my tummy or hips but is giving me a great silhouette.I have cinched it in at the waist but you wouldn't need to do this. I just like to make my waist look smaller.

The length is also great. It hits well below the knee giving it a really classic look and means I wont be pulling at the hem all night.
The sizing on this is great. If anything its slightly on the loose side which for  a fairly fitted dress is so flattering and makes it look well cut and expensive.

Except it isn't- this dress is £16 making its such a bargain.

Punky zip shoulder detail

Ive kept accessories  simple as the print is quite loud. A red Lulu Guinness tote bag,a pair of red Goldigga wedges and a little red star hair clip. 

I've kept my accessories simple. a Lulu Guinness tote, a black belt, oh and a cat

I imagine I will get loads of wear out of this frock long after the party season is over. With a cardigan and flats it will also work for smart day wear as well.
