Twirling In Teal: Orchid Print Shift Dress

One of the most liberating things that has come from ditching the "Plus size rules" regarding what I wear has been embracing colour and pattern.
With every passing year my taste in fabrics and design seems to get brighter and brighter. Its funny as I spent so long dressing almost exclusively in black and now I hardy ever wear it.
The perfect frock to brighten up a wet cold day

I brought this beautiful teal coloured dress with a pink floral design on it a few months ago and have been waiting for an opportunity to wear it.
Well the weather is pretty bleak and I feel like I'm surrounded by grey so that is definitely the right time to wear something as gorgeous as this.I'm also going out for lunch with friends so this is perfect.
I love this colour and the prints beautiful
Its sold as  Orchid print shift dress but its more like a wiggle dress really. I really like the slight ruching at the tummy  which when applied with a gentle hand (not in great bunches like I've seen on some body con dresses) can give you a little more confidence is like me you have a pot belly.
Nice ruching effect-perfect if like me you have got  a big fat belly

I particularly like the asymmetric neck on this dress. It takes it from classic to edgy in one quick stroke.
Great neck shape

I'm also loving the long sleeves. It means I don't have to wear a cardigan or shrug now the weather is colder and makes it look quite expensive when in actual fact it comes in at under £23.
This dress looks so much more expensive than it actual is

I've teamed it with my new Simply be Grazia wet look leggings which I have worn so much since they were gifted to me at the photoshoot I did for them that they may need to be surgically removed from my legs, and my goldigga wedges, perhaps not the most practical footwear for wet October but they add a good few inches onto my short fat frame and for that I love them.
My wet look leggings have been worn so much
This dress is fairly clingy but also feels very flattering as its cut with a panel down the middle. Its also awesome if you have a great big juicy fat bum so if you are a plussie with a lot of junk in your trunk this dress will look awesome on you.
A great dress for fatty bumbums

As this dress is a bit of a showstopper I've gone for full on wagtastic hair, false lashes and a lot of Barry M bright pink lippy.

Never knowingly understated.I don't think I received the memo saying fat birds had to wear black loose fitting clothes and sit quietly in the corner weeping and eating bread.
Big hair, big lashes, big boobs big style
I know I say it every time I review items by them but I'm always nicely surprised by Bonprixs range. Its really affordable and they have some great peices so well worth a visit (its 20% off and free P and P at the moment too)
