Sunglasses ooh to hide behind

Sunglasses. Sure they are important for shielding our eyes from the suns rays and giving much needed comfort on those mornings when we have had one too many pink gins but for me the most important thing about sunnies is how glamorous they can make you look.

I’m a self-confessed sunglasses hoarder. I’ve got everything from Channel aviators to heart shaped cheep and cheerful ones from Primark. Even if there is only a trickle of sun I carefully ensure I have a matching pair of sunglasses in my bag to compliment my outfit.

My new Velmas

I’m always on the lookout for new pairs and when I spotted this range called Velma by Bow and Crossbones I had to have them.

Great to look at and comfortable to wear-perfect face furniture

The pink and green ombre effect is just delicious and the oversize cat eye shape is fantastic. I took these away with me on my recent holiday and wore them every day despite packing a few other pairs. They are so comfortable on my face and gave me great UV protection so no squinting (terrible for the old crows feet doncha know)

At £8 these are such a bargain, they feel really well made and have so far survived being chucked in the bottom of my beach bag and two flights without a scratch. They also come in black and tortoiseshell and I’m very tempted to get a few more pairs.
