Rock Chick Style And Knee High Boots

These boots were made for walking!
I've always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with knee high boots.
I absolutely love how they look, (part Adam Ant Prince Charming, part foxy rock chick) but getting any that fit my chunky calves without cutting off the circulation has always been a challenge.
I hate to have knee muffin top so as a rule they haven’t featured much in my boot collection.
Jeggings are also an item that have so far passed me by and until now had yet to own a pair.
So when Fashionworld asked to try their new  ‘two way boots” along with a pair of their jeggings I was keen to have a go.Its good to move out of your fashion comfort zone occasionally.
Moving out of my clothing/footwear comfort zone

Two way boots-I like these-a lot

The two way boots are such a cool idea. As the name suggests you can wear them as a straightforward knee boot but as the leg part is detachable also turn them into a rather fabulous pair of ankle boots.
I really like this feature. Clothes and shoes that are multi purpose represent so many more options in the style stakes and without being too sensible about something as fabulous as shoes represent great value.

Hey presto and now they are a Chelsea style short boot-genius

A massive plus point for me is that these boots come in a range of calve sizes (they go up to a EEE width fitting) All I needed to do was measure my tree trunks correctly and the boots fitted perfectly!

I'm so pleased Ive found a pair of boot that will fit my chunky legs

I was actually quite surprised when they zipped up so easily as my boot buying history is littered with disappointment. At £55 they are quite an affordable boot as well and really nice quality.
Affordable quality-that's what we like

Loving these heart print jeggings

The jeggings which are £25 and go up to a size 36 were also a revelation  (I know I really should get out more) I think the thing that had always put me off these was the worry that they would somehow look a bit like those stretch maternity jeans you get (with the billowing stomach area and tight legs) but I’m glad to report that they kind of do what they say on the tin.
Jeggings-they do what they say on the tin
They are thick like jeans so more hard wearing than leggings but have the slinky fit of a legging (no bulky top button or zip so no muffin top) I’m quite taken with them especially this pair with the heart print on.

Rock chick chic
I've worn them with a lovely new shrug from Simply be which has little bits of glitter running through it, a leopard print vest by Matalan and a wide belt from Evans.
My Balanciaga arm candy finishes off the look
My Balenciaga motorcycle handbag completes the look perfectly.
Thanks Fashion world-I can now channel my fave rock chick Ann Wilson from Heart with my knee high boots and even do some big kicks in my jeggings whilst belting out “Alone”. Something to entertain the neighbours with.
