Bej-ing Out

Last week I was very lucky to be invited to a preview night at a brand new vegetarian restaurant just up the road from me in Hoylake on the Wirral.

Ready to get my Bej on

Bej has been long overdue. A lovely well priced vegetarian and vegan restaurant is music to my ears and the menu looks amazing.

This being a preview night the full menu wasn’t available but there were still plenty of delicious choices. I opted for the Falafel burger with sweet potato fries whilst Nicky Rockets had the Pad Thai and baba the pizza.

The food was really delicious and we had a fantastic evening.

 The service was attentive without being overbearing and the whole feel of the place is that the owners really care that they offer excellent service and a menu that is as appealing to meat eaters as well as veges.

Along with the food they served some lovely organic beers and soft drinks and although we didn’t stay for desert I will definitely be going back to sample the chocolate truffles.

What’s really exciting for me is that they are offering vegetarian cooked breakfasts and Sunday lunch. Most restaurants nowadays offer a few good meat free options but its when you fancy a fry up or a lazy Sunday lunch that you can feel you are missing out so we have already planned a few trips to Bej to kick start our Sundays.
