Princess Leila Buns And Green Halterneck Frocks OOTD

Wear green to be seen

Recently I seem to be going through my "green" period. I can't seem to stop buying clothes in jade green. Its just so summery and looks fab worn with bright pink lipstick. So when I saw this bright green fifties inspired frock in Bon prixs latest collection I had to have it.

I don't usually buy halterneck dresses in a jersey fabric as they can make your boobs just look so huge its comical but  I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did.

Yes its  a halterneck, yes it emphasies my boobies, no I dont care

 I'm loving the fact this dress has a ruched middle panel. It pulls in the waist and is more forgiving than having smooth jersey. The dress flares out nicely and hits just at the knee which is my preferred length.

The neckline is slightly too deep for me so Ive worn a vest underneath. I think when I wear it again I will put a contrasting colour underneath like  a bright pink as I do think now looking at these pics that the black straps ruin the overall look but it was this or showing off a bit too much cleavage.

Loving the length of this dress

I'm not sure why but I felt very bright and almost Mexican when I put this dress on so decided to chanel a little bit of Frida Kahlo chic with hair buns and  a large flower. Its seems my Mexican painter inspiration failed to hit the mark as my little girl says I look like Minnie mouse and my husband got very excited as he thought i was going to wear a Princess Leila outfit (down boy)

My necklace is my Bete Noire I thought the "Living Doll" motif went perfectly with my new clutch bag which I'm adoring. Ive long had my eye on the Lulu Guinness bags which are a similar design to this but they are sadly slightly out of my price range. When I saw this bag in primark for a mere £5 I snapped it up.Happy days!

This dress costs £29.99 and at the time of writing the green one is out of stock but they do have it in black and  a lovely coral shade
Summer can be extra tricky if you are a fatty bum bum and still learning to love your abundance. My advice is find clothes that make the most of your assets. If you have big boobs show a little cleavage, good legs then  destubble them and show them off. Life's too short to hide under glorified tents. Beautiful isn't a size its a feeling.
