Littlewoods Plus Size brand: So Fabulous Dahlinks

I was just too busy being fabulous

Last weak I was lucky enough to be asked to an event by the Littlewoods plus size brand So fabulous
It was a chance to look at their latest collection and meet the team behind the range and very lovely it was too.
Held at their Soho headquarters they had created a mini red carpet event with themed cupcakes, bottles of fizz and most exciting of all rails and rails of lovely clothes for myself and some other plus size bloggers to look at.
I had a fab time trying on and looking at the range and here are some of my favourites.
One of the standout pieces for me was this Ombre Sequin Dress at £55 this is such a knockout.
Its a shift dress and I thought it was very flattering as it was still quite stretchy so went in and out rather than looking like a sparkly tent.

I was like a Magpie for this frock

Here is a picture of myself and Callie who writes the blog fromthecornersofthecurve.com both giving it a whirl.

As usual I was totally drawn to their take on all things leopard and really liked the shape of this Animal print dress which is £49

Nice dress, shame about the sweaty face

Like a bee to honey I had to try this on

Excuse my sweaty cheese face. It was absolutely roasting in London and after trying on lots of clothes I started to "glow" a little. I loved the V neckline of this dress and the elasticated waist which nips it in. I think this would be lovely to take on holiday, you could just roll it in your suitcase and go.

Running to type I also couldn't resist trying on this polka dot tea dress which is from next seasons collection. The sample was actually a little too small but hopefully you get the idea.
Dotty about the spots
Strike a pose

Getting to look at the So Fabulous autumn/winter collection was great and as I always tend to prefer clothes from that season I definitely felt it had the edge over the current range.
Grey leopard print body con with a black blazer

This black and grey body con dress would definitely be a great wardrobe staple. It actually featured orange stitching which hasn't picked up very well on the photo but was a lovely edgy detail. I also loved this black blazer which had more than a hint of Stella McCartney about it.
Pow
Ever the sucker for all things comic book I will definitely be getting one of these sequined "Pow" jumpers when they become available. I think it would look adorable with black leggings, Ive even see a pow headband to match (Im such a matchy, matchy minx)

Shoes glorious shoes

After a great dress up session (the shoe closet was heaven) we were then split into two teams and our plus size fashion blogger savvy put to the test.
The lovely Naomi and Mel

I was partnered with the scrumptious Naomi from Diamonds n pearls and Mel from Gladrags and thehandbags
We were tasked with creating a stylish look suitable for a job interview and I think we did very well indeed.
It was great to be dressed by someone else and I admit the skater dress Naomi chose would never have been something I would have picked but once on I absolutely loved it, clever Naomi.

I loved this outfit, just goes to show you really do need to try things on as to me it had little "hanger appeal"
The other team which consisted of the lovely Mrs Bebe, Toni from theonlywayistoni Kirsty from Fattyunbound,Hanna from The wardrobe challenge  and Lauren from Pocket rocket fashion.com (who I felt slightly fangirl around as her blog is one of my all time faves) were challenged to come up with an outfit for a night out dancing. They got it spot on with the Mesh sleeve Bodycon dress Becky wore, especially with the matching heels-so glam.
Becky Bebe looking beautiful- standard

After the challenge was over (there were no winners, we all rocked it) we sat down with the So fabulous team and had a chat to them (over cake and champers yum) about what we thought of the collection as well as telling them which plus size clothes brands we love and why.

Hats off to them they really want to ensure their collections tick as many fashionable fatty boxes as possible and listened closely to what everybody had to say.It seemed they are totally on the same page in a lot of respects and have very exciting plans for future seasons.
I really enjoyed listening to the other plus size bloggers who are all so knowledgeable about previous labels that have worked and are also really keen to support brands who they feel actually listen to what we want (in a nutshell, the same as everyone else but in our size)
I could have stayed and listened to those chicks all night but sadly my last train home was calling.
Thanks a million to the So fabulous Team for a great event.
