Clothes designed with your boobs in mind
The concept at Pepperberry is rather clever indeed. Their tag line is "Clothes designed with your boobs in mind" and each dress size also comes in three different cuts, Curvy, Really Curvy and Super Curvy. The idea is that as no one woman's figure is the same by offering more width and give within each dress size a perfect fit should be guaranteed.
Beautiful shop-other retailers take note
The PR team at Pepperberry very kindly arranged for me to visit the Liverpool store and be talked through the concept as well as try on some clothes. Whilst I was quite excited as having looked at the collection it was full of items I loved I was nervous none of it would fit me as the range finishes at a size 18 (more on that later) and I often need to get a size 20 top to accommodate my huge boobies.
I was met by the lovely Paula from the Liverpool store who straight away put me at my ease. The Bravisimo/Pepperberry stores are a real masterclass in how clothes shops should be. Light airy and spotlessly clean all the clothes are beautifully presented on wooden hangers and whilst every size is available from an 8-18 the rails don't look cramped or crumpled.
The changing room was also large with a dressing gown to use so you could pop out to get different sizes or just to cover your modesty when the sales assistant brings you things to try. So top marks on that front, Mary Portis would approve.
This Jersey Spot dress with its gypsy style neckline was so comfortable and I just love this print £49
I had chosen some dresses in advance and Paula had them all ready for me to try. I told Paula I was worried they wouldn't fit and she was very confident I would be pleasantly surprised, and she was right.
This Floral Lace detail prom dress had more than a hint of Betty Draper mad men about it . This is the really curvy fit which is the fit below Supercurvy and it fitted like a dream. Its £69
Pepperberry do themselves a huge disservice saying this range finishes at an 18. The cuts and fit of the clothes I tried were so beautiful cut I comfortably fitted into a regular curve rather than the super curvy fit. Some of these styles would easily accommodate up to a size 24 and I would definitely encourage you to go and try on a few things on if you are a size 20-24
This Aztec print Jersey dress would be fab for on holiday. I love the crossover detail at the bust. This is £49
I think Bravisimo./Pepperberry was created with my body type in mind (I jest but that's how it felt). As an apple with actually quite small shoulders I find it quite hard to get dresses which fit across my chest but that don't look huge on the shoulders. All the dresses I tried were a perfect fit and I will definitely be going back for more.
This striped hem dress was a real fave of mine. I felt very Audrey Hepburn in it. £69
My absolute fave and the one I ended up getting was this beautiful Green Tea dress
How amazing is this colour
This dress features my favourite thing-Sleeves
The neckline is fairly deep but because of the cut it doesn't look too plunging.
Feeling the Pepperberry love
This Carmen necklace by Bow and crossbones suits the dress perfectly
Pepperberry you rock. Now get busy stocking more sizes.
Thanks so much to Paula who took such good care of me and was so knowledgeable about body shapes and which styles would work.
