Busy Times At the Pamper Palace

Busy Betty

Hello everybody. I know Ive been a bit quiet this week as far as my blog goes. Life has been super busy and Ive had to step away from the laptop to ensure I got everything done. I'm chilling in my PJs now so  thought I would give you a quick update on whats been happening in my world.
I have got some fab beauty reviews and outfit posts scheduled for next week so fear not my hearties, it will be business as usual after the bank holiday.

I indulge my inner make up whore
I had a little bit of an on line splurge the other day and treated myself  to the Oz Urban Decay palette I will do a review of how good the actual eyeshadow is but quite honestly I'm just swooning over the packaging right now.It arrived in the post on what was quite honestly a crazy day but regardless of the fact that my inbox was exploding and my phone ringing every two minutes I downed tools and just looked at it for a good ten minutes.Make up, it solves everything.
The Theodora Oz palette-be still my beating heart
How fab is this make up tin

Off To London To See The Queen
Well I didn't bump into HRH but I did attend a rather lovely bloggers event held by the So fabulous@Littlewoods team (Littlewoods plus size range basically) I'm going to do a proper write up about this event as I took lots of lovely pictures of all the new season goodies but here I am trying on a rather beautiful skater style dress (which I didn't want to take off)

Love this whole outfit-including the shoes
Discovering a new tipple
A new restaurant called Hickories has opened where we live and we have been a few times already. The foods ok but whats really exciting is it has the biggest soft drinks menu Ive seen outside of America. Everything from root beer floats to gingerbread milkshakes. As I'm not much of a booze hound this is great news for me. My fave tipple has been the raspberry iced tea. It comes in a jar and is absolutely delicious. Yum

My Shelf project is featured in a new magazine

As a huge lover of magazines I always get such a buzz when I get asked to contribute to one Reloved is a brand new mag focusing on crafts with an
upcycling twist. They asked if they could include my crate shelf project and I was very happy to oblige. I haven't seen the actual magazine yet, just my feature so let me know if you get your hands on a copy.

Performing make up duties at a gorgeous wedding

The beautiful Emma
Today myself and Lilly worked at a simply beautiful wedding. The bride Emma was so scrumptious and looked so wonderful. Lilly roller set her hair and then set it in soft curls around her face.I gave her a smoky eyeshadow using a neutral palette, thin french flicks and a dark pink/red lipstick. The end result I'm sure you will agree is adorable.Emma wore a fantastic fifties inspired dress and birdcage veil. The whole effect was stunning.I also got to briefly meet the lovely photographer Emma case whose work Ive often admired on the Rock n roll bride blog. She was so lovely and I'm mega excited to see the finished pictures.

The Vintage Pamperbox is nominated for an award
Finally this week we heard the news that we had been nominated for "Best Vintage Wedding event supplier" in the National vintage awards. I'm not sure if we will be shortlisted but I am so chuffed to be included. Me and Lilly have worked so hard at building up our little business it really is like my second child. If you think we deserve to win please cast your vote here it only takes a few minutes and would mean the world to me.

Phew, that's all for now. Have a tremendous bank holiday weekend (I'm working on two really lovely jobs tomorrow and off Sunday and Monday) see you soon.
