Peter Pan Collars And Glam Rock OOTD

getting my collar felt
Today's outfit is courtesy of Yours clothing who Ive never shopped with before. I'm not sure why because they not only have a phenomenal range of plus size clothes but their pricing is very competitive too.

My first dress from Yours-I have a feeling it won't be the last

Black and leopard print-such a classic combination

I fell in love with this tunic dress with leopard print peter pan collar as soon as I saw it. I just adore the combination of black and animal print so much and it features in a lot of my wardrobe.

Dreaming of toffee apple cocktails

Today I'm off to celebrate my best friend Lily's birthday and this little frock arrived just in time.
Now I am a bit of an impulse buyer sometimes and hadn't really considered what "tunic" meant, so I was a bit shocked at how short this dress was when I tried it on. Its above the knee which isn't usually my favourite length but once I had teamed it with thick tights I actually loved it.

Ive kept my jewellery to the minimum, just one ring. I'm letting the collar do the talking

Ive just softly rolled my fringe. It suits the simplicity of the dress I think

I am crushing so much on the dresses collar and the little tie waist. its in a soft stretchy fabric and is very generous size wise so comfortable as well as cool.
Ive teamed it with some leopard print pumps, a black cardigan from warehouse and my lovely Juicy Couture leopard print bag which is just the loveliest arm candy ever-fact!

Juicy

Ive stuck my hair into a half beehive and curled the fringed. Its slightly softer than a victory roll or quiff so suited such a cute dress.
My lipsticks is Contessaa Florescent by Limecrime and my eyemake up is shades blan, ombre and cordoury by Mac.
Lashings of Limecrime-word

I had a fab day with my gorgeous gal pals Lilly, Pooki-Rae and Roo. We mozied on down to the Glam exhibition at the Tate in Liverpool (cue much drooling over Bowie's pin up jacket and Bryan Ferry's sequined trousers) then we did a little bit of bar hopping, slurping champers and cocktails at Circo the circus themed bar down at the Albert Dock and Palm Sugar at Liverpool One.

Happy birthday Lilly

We finished with some yummy Mexican food and more cocktails and then were collected by the lovely Mister Bee who saved us from a tipsy train ride home (thanks lover)
All in all a lovely day and a fabulous outfit. This dress is on offer at £16 at the moment so well worth a look

Never let your size or shape stop you from loving fashion and enjoying clothes to the max. If you "own" your style and stop feeling apologetic because you are plus size the world of clothes really starts to open up and its a wonderful thing. So get some sass to go with your fat ass!

  2. I do like this dress, but since I am about 3 inches taller than you, that would make it about 3 inches too short to consider it a dress. I don't know what the national average height is, but I get a bit annoyed when a 'dress' turns out to be a long top. I am glad this was labelled as a tunic dress because it then tells someone my height that it will have to be worn with trousers (unless you are ok with the world and his wife copping an eye-full every time you move lol). I would probably wear this with black trousers and chunky boots. That is a good price for plus size clothing thought.
