Bonprix Swimdress review: yes in March!

All this shot is missing is a cocktail

When Bonprix got in touch recently to ask if I would model and review one of their swim dresses the thought didn't exactly fill me with glee.
It felt too unseasonal, too cold,I didn't feel like getting my wobbly bits out on camera when it was pimply with goosebumps, basically I was a moaning minnie.

Betty used the tried and tested "hold big beach ball to detract from cottage cheese legs" ruse, it works every time

To get me in the zone they very kindly sent me a beach backdrop, cocktail glasses, a beach ball, even a blow up parrot. I couldn't help but be swept up in a temporary hula holiday mood.

Catch

It also helped that after thinking it was far too early in the season for swimming costumes I found myself booked in to Alton Towers splash landings water park  and suddenly had  a chance to really put this cossie through its paces.
Dreaming of summer whilst the snow bashes against the window

I absolutely love this swim dress. Its so comfortable, very flattering and as I hate that feeling of "popping out" when swimming I really appreciated the squared neckline and sturdy straps.
well made, well priced, well done
its constructed like a swimsuit obviously but for those of you who find the thought of donning a bikini slightly sweat inducing its a great shape and cut. Its more like a Lycra mini dress than a swimming costume which if like me you don't particularly revel in showing off the top of your legs is marvellous. It even has a little slit  up the side which I really liked.
At £29.99 its not wildly expensive for such a well cut swim dress and it feels very well made. its also survived chlorine and washing beautifully.

Betty wondered why her cocktail glass was empty?
This design only goes up to a size 22 but they have an awesome leopard print one (which I am going to get next) which goes up to a size 28. The sizing is fairly true as well which always helps.

Ready for some Easter holiday swimming

With the Easter holidays only a week away I will no doubt be shivering at the local pool in an attempt to entertain my daughter so thanks BonPrix Its seems I did need a new swimsuit in march after all.
Never let your size or shape stop you from loving fashion and enjoying clothes to the max. If you "own" your style and stop feeling apologetic because you are plus size the world of clothes really starts to open up and its a wonderful thing. So get some sass to go with your fat ass!
