Hips, Lips, Tits, Power! 80's punk outfit inspired by Silverfish

A few weeks ago when tweeting about my latest outfit post I used the tagline "Hips, Lips, Tips, Power" the old grungers amongst you might recognise it as saying which adorned the band Silverfishs tee shirts. I owned one of these back in the day along with an L7 one which said "Lick my vulva" (misspent yoof what can I tell you) but having moved around so much over the years my original Hips, Lips tee was long gone.

Its not the original one I owned, that's probably rotting in a mosh pit somewhere

I decided to remedy this and whilst originals are selling on ebay for daft money I got a copy from Cafe press for £19
Whilst its maybe not one for the school run I have to say I am loving this tee and to add to its slight punk rock sensibility Ive teemed it with a tarten skirt, from Matalan,an Evans belt, leopard print ears headband and leopard print pumps.

For jewellery Im wearing a bangle from Claire's accessories and a ring I brought years ago from a boutique near where I live.

A little bit of Clurs

Ive worn my hair down as Ive had it piled up all weekend and need to give my scalp a rest. Ive put in a soft victory roll and curled the ends.

My eyeshadow is Macs blacs, Omega and cordory with some of Urban decays blackout and busted to make it more smokey. My lipstick is a matte one by Sleek in shade Mystik

Ive got the power

My bag is by Juicy Couture which I got when we were going on holiday last summer. The tan has long faded but this is still my favourite bag.

I was going to finish with a clip of Silverfish but when I went to watch them on Youtube I remembered that i never really liked the band, just the tee shirt so here is L7 instead.

Remember feeling good and looking great has nothing to do with dress size and everything to do with attitude.Never wait to be a certain weight to start enjoying clothes and never reject anything thinking it wont suit your shape. Try it on-you may be surprised.
