Blue Note Frock OOTD

Swiing!

This weeks outfit post is yet again brought to you from work. Another fabulous Vintage Pamperbox event this time to celebrate the lovely Julies hen party. Here is Julie after receiving the Betty Bee hair and make up treatment. Isn't she a doll!
Julie I salute you and your cuteness
Today I am wearing one of my favourite dresses and one of the first things I ever had made for me. Ive spoken before on this blog about how if you find a talented dressmaker its worth paying extra to get something made to measure occasionally, particularly if you are plus sized.

My first ever made to measure frock
It fits like a glove

The lady who made this was from ebay and has since disappeared so this frock is even more precious. It only cost me £50 and fits me like a glove,a swing dress shaped, blue glove, but a glove nevertheless.I love the music note fabric, it always makes me feel a little bit rock n roll/Mad men.
I look like I'm about to start dancing
I teamed it with a pink cardigan from primark , black tights from Evans and some ballet pumps. It actually looks amazing when I wear a petticoat underneath but as I'm standing working on clients hair and make up all day I feel too fussy if I wear one so Ive left it off.
the ever present primark cardigan

My lipstick is Fire and Ice by Revon and my eyeshadow are the shades blanc, omega and corduroy by Mac which I recently used in my  wedding make up tutorial.I'm loving them at the moment.

Killer Curves-I like to think so
My necklace is my most treasured Killer Curves one by the ever awesome Bete noire
Falling back in love with an old favourite
My hair is victory rolled at the front and just piled on top of my head with a tiny white flower

I love this shot. I'm busy voguing and Pooki-Rae and Lilly are totally oblivious/ignoring my daftness-classic!
Isn't it lovely when you revisit an old wardrobe fave and fall in love with it all over again!
Remember feeling good and looking great has nothing to do with dress size and everything to do with attitude.Never wait to be a certain weight to start enjoying clothes and never reject anything thinking it wont suit your shape. Try it on-you may be surprised.

One last thing
Ive just found out I've been nominated for the Mad Blog awards 2013. I'm up against some very established amazing blogs so if you enjoy my blog would you mind voting for me-thanks ever so x
