Simply Be Perfect Christmas Dress Campaign

When Simply Be asked if I would like to get involved with their “Find your perfect Christmas party dress” campaign, in association with LOOK Magazine I jumped at the chance.
I'm usually all about colour especially in party frocks but when I started looking through their latest collection I surprised myself by choosing three black dresses.
I know for many girls nothing makes them feel as good as a black dress and have always worried that I might feel a little dull without a pop of colour but how wrong I was.
So here is my take on the LBD Betty Bee style and readers I felt fabulous.

Pretty but practical-the quickest way to my heart

Being a Capricorn I do have a real practical streak and this first dress is one which will really earn its keep way past the festive season.
Love the brocade fabric of this frock
With its delicate brocade pattern, simple scoop neck and skater dress styling it will look wonderful dressed up for a party but equally you could chuck a cardigan over the top of it and wear it with thick tights and pumps to work.
red and black- a killer colour combo
I absolutely love putting red and black together so have added a sparkly red headband, black shrug and my black and red Minnie mouse shoes. Ive worn this loads already. Its definitely a keeper.

Black Lace-Agadododo
I adore the lace arm detail of this dress. Being on the fat side my arms are not my best feature and I tend to always wear a cardigan or shrug to cover my bingo wings  but there is no need with this lovely frock.
Letting my ink peak out
The fact that my tattoos are slightly peaking out makes quite a demure dress a little bit edgy.
Its black yes but I feel far from dull
As the lace features delicate black sequins I didn’t want to spoil the beautiful simplicity of the dress so  I’ve just added a leopard print headband, footless tights and some pink shoes, its doesn't need anything else to be a show stopper.
The shape of this dress is incredibly flattering and has a little tie waist to ensure you don’t look too much like a cube. Its all good baby!

I just adore this frock
This was without a doubt my favourite of the three. The beaded collar and chiffon sleeves have a vaguely 1960’s feel and I loved the fit and cut.
Chiffon sleeves-so floaty
As the neckline is so decorative I kept accessories to a minimum and simply wore a sparkly headband and sparkly ballet pumps.
I am ready to paaarty!
I just feel very delicate and pretty in this dress and can imagine it will serve me as one of my go to party dresses for many years to come.
So there you have it my top three little black dresses to get you through the party season. Chin chin!
