Halloween is coming and if you like your spookiness to have a vague Freda Kahlo flavour this is the craft project for you.This is a great project to do with the kids as it doesn't require a huge amount of skill and the end results are very satisfying.

You will need:
- Plastic skulls (I got mine from a poundshop)
- Plasticoat spraypaint
- Enamel paint
- Small paint brushes
- Metallic fibre pens
Step One
Spray your skulls with the plasticoat. Do this outside or in a well ventilated room. Wear a dust mask. Leave to dry for a few hours.

Use white enamel paint to paint in the teeth

Step Three
Paint in the nasal aperture and eye sockets with black paint.

Step Four
use your metallic pen to draw dots around the eye sockets

Step Five
use paint or another colour pen to decorate the skull with designs on the brow bone and chin.Also add a circle at the top of the skull.

Step Six
Add a flower on the top of the skull using different shades of enamel paint
Step Seven
Display your Halloween Sugar skulls and enjoy your spooky handiwork.
