Having Lunch At The Circus: Circo, Liverpool

Running off to join the circus (well go for lunch)

I was approached recently by the lovely folks at Groupon to see if I wanted to take part in one of their offers. I'm already a fan of using voucher companies as a way in include a little bit of luxury into my life without breaking the budget so was very happy indeed.
Groupon gave me a code with £20 on it and it wasn't long before a fab little deal winged its way into my inbox (ooher missus)

 The restaurant Circo on the Albert Dock in Liverpool was offering afternoon tea which included cocktails, sandwiches and cake. It was one of my friends birthday so it made a perfect midweek treat.

I love Circo. I went their a few years ago for a launch party and was very taken with the Circus themed interior.

It was really nice to go in the day and see all the vintage circus memorabilia in day light and of course enjoy the gorgeous view of the Albert Dock. I could see the Liver Birds from my table-bliss.

The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious. A slate platter was brought to our table which included a selection of sandwiches, duck spring rolls, and some very yummy cakes.

Five minutes after this picture was taken these cakes had been demolished.

As neither myself or my friend were drinking the staff made us a strawberry mocktail each and later on  earl grey tea and a coffee.

It was a smashing afternoon so big thanks to Groupon and if you are ever in Liverpool and fancy somewhere with a very quirky interior for either a drink or lunch check out Circo, its rather fabulous and they looked after us very well indeed.
