I absolutely love the money saving blog athriftymrs.com especially the home made beauty products she comes up with. As I'm still on my holidays the very lovely Mrs T has promised to share one of my favourite recipes of hers which is guaranteed to leave your skin as soft as a kittens paw.
Well hello sirens, summer is here and even if we can’t always feel the heat on our skin, society dictates that we must bare our skin to the world. What a terrifying prospect!
Worry ye not, I have a little something to share with you that I think you’ll like. It’s something I shared over on my blog athriftymrs.com earlier in the year and lots of my readers have enjoyed making it and using it which means I think you folk out there in Betty Bee land might like it too.
It’s a brown sugar body scrub and you probably already have the ingredients stashed away in that larder of yours. So shall we get making?
Homemade Brown Sugar and Vanilla Body Scrub
What you will need:
400g Light brown sugar
50g granulated sugar
1tbsp good vanilla extract
200ml olive oil
1. Put all of the ingredients into a big bowl and mix together until well blended. If it is looking overly dry add some more oil and if it seems a bit on the wet side for your liking bung in some more brown sugar. 2. Pour into a jar with an air tight lid. 3. Use a generous lump on wet skin in circular motions and rinse with warm water.
