A Brush With Burlesque by Mr Bee: aka Nick Beedles

As many of you will already know my lovely husband Mr Bee (aka Nick Beedles) is a talented artist and has created designs which feature on various tee shirts, flyer's and logos.

His speciality is rock n roll inspired artwork and I'm very proud as currently his work is featuring in a wonderful exhibition in London.
Rather cleverly called A Brush With Burlesque its at Brick Lanes East gallery until the 13th of May.

The brain child of Mark and Sarah Bell A Brush With Burlesque is a collective of British based burlesque artists: painters, illustrators, sketchers & doodlers who are all in love with the world of tassel twirling and have used their considerable talents to create amazing pieces of work.
The artists involved are wonderfully diverse but all share one thing, a genuine love of Burlesque.
Staged to run during the week of Chaz Royal’s annual London Burlesque Week 2012, the exhibition is a visual feast and certainly the most glamorous art exhibition Ive ever heard of. There are original art works to buy for as little as £25 so if you are in London its well worth a visit.
The list of artists is a veritable who's who of the great and the good of the alternative art world. Charlotte Thompson, Kev Gray, Mark Bell and Jo Armitige to name but a few.
Mr Bee created a one off design especially for the exhibition which I'm just totally in love with.

And here are just a few of the other artists exhibiting:

Ella Guru
Mark Bell
Charlotte Thompson

Joe Armitage
Gemma Parker
Fiona Wilson

A Brush with Burlesque will run as an exhibition daily: Thursday 3rd May – Sunday 13th May 2012 - 1.00pm – 7.00pm at East Gallery, 214, Brick Lane, London E1 6SA.
