Crafty Queen: Vintage Glamour with a crafty twist

Today I thought I would tell you about a brand new event I am holding with my friend Lilly Von Pink on the 25th of February at Heebie Jeebies in Liverpool. Its a Vintage pamper day but with a twist. Rather than including our usual burlesque or jive lesson we will be teaching a craft lesson. This has come about as so many people have asked us to hold some craft classes but with the masterclass in Vintage hair and make up and the cheesecake style photo session

We are calling the event "Crafty Queen" and are really excited. For our first craft class we thought we would show ladies how to make their very own fasinator. its a lovely craft to do and is simple enough that you can drink tea, eat cake and have a good old chat while you are doing it.

From Powder Puff to Birdcage veils we will teach you everything you need to know to make your own fantastic fasinator
Our retro inspired beauty masterclass will teach you everything you need to know to channel your inner siren. from Monroe lips, french flicks to easy victory rolls and Bettie page fringes
We will transform you into a vintage siren
we have tons of hints and tricks up our sleeves so you can achieve all these looks and of course we will be on hand to provide full make overs so you look sensational for our photos.
Channel your inner pin up
Cheeky Cheesecake style photos
Photography as usual is undertaken by the very talented Pin Up photographer Nick Beedles
Nick will be on hand to take beautiful photos
Nick is amazing at taking flattering cheesecake inspired shots which make you look like you have stepped off the cover of a 1950's copy of Life magazine.Every attendee gets their favourite shot turned into an A4 print to keep which is a fabulous reminder of a great day.
Take your favourite shot home
Tickets for Crafty Queen are £50 each and include the following:
  • Masterclass in Vintage hair and make-up
  • Cheesecake photo shoot with 1 x A4 print
  • Craft workshop in fasinator making with a fasinator to take home
  • Make overs for each attendee.

For our fist event we aren't planning on having a huge group so places are limited and we have sold a few already so if you would like to book a place please email: Crafty Queen and we can arrange payment. We can also make tickets into gift vouchers which make fantastic Christmas presents.
I hope to meet some of my lovely blog readers at this event for a day of old school glamour, clever crafts and of course lashings of tea.

This week Lilly Von Pink is giving away one of her fabulous Mustache necklaces to one of my lucky blog readers.
You could win this fabulous necklace
Lilly has recently relaunched her website and its a veritable treasure trove of rockabilly inspired loveliness. She designed this mustache necklace last year to celebrate Movember with proceeds from the sale of these going to the charity and it was a huge hit.
Imelda May was a huge fan and wore hers at various gigs and even on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
