Christmas Scones recipe

If like me you were glued to this series of The Great British bake Off you may recognise my lovely friend Yasmin Limbert. Yasmin was one of the contestants on the show and all of us in West Kirby were very proud to see her flying the flag for the Wirral.
Yasmin with the Great British Bake Off Team

Yasmin's blog is just amazing. The recipes are to die for with really beautiful photography. she is also a dab hand at crafts as well so its always packed with lovely stuff to look at and make.

I asked Yasmin if she would provide a great Christmas recipe for my blog and despite being really busy she very kindly agreed.
Yasmin with the lovely Mel and Sue

Yasmin's Christmas Scones

Rub 100g Sunflower Margarine into 400g Self Raising Flour.

Stir in 50g Sugar, 1 tsp Mixed Spice Zest of 1 Orange and 100g Dried Cranberries.

Now measure Juice of half an Orange and make it up to 200ml with milk.

Stir wet ingredients into the dry and mix well.

Turn in out onto a floured surface and knead slightly to form a smooth dough.

Roll out to about 1" thick and cut into rounds.  Brush with an egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes at 200C

How yummy do these look. I will definitely be giving them a try.
