You may have seen I recently made Halloween bunting and being a thrifty sort of lady I couldn't bear to throw the scraps of material away. Remembering I had a small black Christmas tree I decided to make spooky Halloween decorations to hang on it.This project is so easy.
You will need
Fabric with Halloween characters on.
Black Cotton
Ribbon
Stuffing (yet again old fabric scraps work well)
Pins
Scissors
Sewing machine (although you can sew these easily by hand)
Step One
Cut out your shapes. These will need material to back them in as well.Pin the pieces together wrong side round.
Sew your pieces together leaving approximately 3cms gap at the top to put your stuffing in.
Step Three
Turn your decorations out.
Step Four
Fill your decorations with your your stuffing or material scraps. You may need your scissors or a pencil to get in the corners.
Step Five
Sew up your stuffing gap by hand and make a loop of ribbon. Sew this onto the top of your decoration. Adding an additional bow will hide your hand sewing.
Step Six
Hang your decorations from your Halloween tree. You can create a tree by spraying large twigs with black paint or you can just hang your decorations from door handles and light fittings.
